THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TKTX NUMBING CREAM COLORS

TKTX is the most popular tested anesthetic cream for tattoos, piercings and other cosmetic procedures. However, with so many different colors and variations to choose from, we would like to clarify some doubts on all the different creams we have to offer.

All the different colors (in the same % range) contain the same percentage of ingredients (lidocaine), but each color is formulated differently so that the actual cream composition varies. Hence it’s important to choose the right characteristics for your needs.

So.. Which colour should I choose?

Let’s start with dividing our two sections of TKTX creams here; our “fast numbs” and “deep numbs”. Deep numbs are mostly recommended for tattoos, piercings and laser removal sessions. Our fast numbs are better for aesthetic and waxing. The level of strength (and color of cream) that you need depends on your skin type, the type of procedure, the length of the session and your pain tolerance.

EFFECT IN: 1 - 2 hours
DURATION: 2 - 4 hours (classic 40%) 3 - 5 hours (limited edition 55%)
ABOUT: Our Green cream is one of our bestseller products due to it's deep effect. If you want to take away the pain from your upcoming (medium to large) tattoos, piercings or laser removal appointments, this cream is highly recommended. It fully activates in 1-2 hours and lasts for a lengthy 3-5 hours hence you can enjoy your long sittings pain free!

TKTX YELLOW (medium/large tattoos)
EFFECT IN: 1 - 2 hours
DURATION: 2 - 4 hours (classic 40%) 3 - 5 hours (limited edition 55%)
ABOUT: The 2nd strongest deep numb cream in the range is the Yellow cream. If you want to take away the pain from your upcoming tattoos, piercings or laser removal appointments, this cream is the ideal solution. It fully activates in 1-2 hours and lasts for a lengthy 3-5 hours so you can enjoy your long sittings pain free.

EFFECT IN: 1 - 2 hours
DURATION: 1 - 2 hours (classic 40%) 1 - 3 hours (limited edition 55%)
ABOUT: For quick appointments, the Blue cream is the cream you need. It is the weakest option of the deep creams and takes 1-2 hours to activate. It only lasts for 1-2 hours so if you’re getting touch up to your tattoos or having an aesthetic procedure, this is a great choice to take away the discomfort.

DURATION: 2 - 3 hours (classic 40%) 2 - 5 hours (limited edition 55%)
ABOUT: The Black cream is the strongest of the fast creams. It is a great option for slightly shorter appointments as it activates in 25 min and lasts 2-3 hours. If you end up taking longer than you expected, you always have the option to reapply this cream, just make sure you don’t add a second cream on top that might counteract the effectiveness of our creams.

ABOUT: If you only have a short appointment the White cream is our weakest fast cream. It hits as quickly as 25-35 minutes and only lasts between 30 minutes and an hour, making it great for piercings and injections.
